# Thrift Store Treasure

Hey there, a quick post from me today!

I should be working on a school project due in a week, but tonight I want to relax. Books can wait until tomorrow ;)

I thrifted this cute dress a week or two ago, but it wasn't until the day before yesterday I had time to wash it. Can't wait 'till it gets a little warmer and I can wear it with a blue, mustard or yellow cardigan!

I love the button details! And I want to buy practically everything I can find with flowers on these days. At least this was a bargain ;)

'Till next time!

# Bunny is never Enough

Nope, there really isn't such a thing as too many bunnies. Our living room is starting to look like easter, and I don't think Jesper has realised the bunnies are here to stay, LOL. Poor guy ;)

I got this cutie yesterday. It was also available in orange, green and purple - it took quite a lot of self-restrain not to buy them all.

Mission # Yellow Cardi

I've wanted a yellow cardigan for a while. I hadn't decided on which shade of yellow, whether it should be warm or cold, I just knew it had to match at least a few dresses in my ever-growing closet. And match my skintone, which is about as pale as a zombie. I finally found the perfect cardigan recently, and which tone of yellow did I end up with?

Neon yellow. Yes, almost as bright as your average neon yellow marker. To be fair, it's a little less bright but it's still an eyesore on a cloudy day ;) I couldn't find anything dress-like that matched at home, so I decided to be on the lookout for a grey dress to pair with it. Last week I found a skater dress in H&M, in - you guessed it - grey! I already own it in bright blue and it's very comfortable and thus it went home with me.

I wish I could show you an outfit shot, but I'm too shy for the camera ;) Floorshot will have to do!

I really should've waited for a yellow cardigan that I didn't have to buy dresses for, but it's such a nice fit with long rib in both sleeves and body. I'm in love! Considering how I don't own any grey dresses, I'd say it wasn't so bad to get that either ;)

That's all for today,

Animalistic

Big news - Jesper and I bought a house. Insane! We've been together for about 6 years, and we figured it was time we found a place where the rent wouldn't just disappear into the blue air but turned into bricks instead ;) I still can't quite believe we found a perfect house so early in our search - it was the third we went to check out (though we've seen too many to count online, LOL!). It just instantly felt like home when we got there. I kept visualizing beautiful decorations and started unconsciously placing our furniture as we walked through the rooms. We move in around 15th of April so life is going to be crazy busy the next 1½ month! Between school, painting and fixing the house and clearing the old place, I doubt there will be time left for anything else than sleep. But it's going to be so worth it!

I have so many ideas for the house. I definitely want it less Ikea and more vintage than now. Recently started to roam the local thrift stores again, and I found an adorable plate I want to show you;

Fox plate / Thrifted
Isn't it gorgeous? Not sure whether I will hang it on the wall or use it for decoration. If you have a fun idea feel free to share in the comments!

It's no secret that I love bunnies. When I saw this shaker set on Modcloth, I knew I had to get it. They're poorly painted but still ever so cute!

I better show you why I really had to have them. This is my dwarf lop Vuk (named after a cartoon with a fox I loved as a child). He has the most amazing temperament yet he is super energetic and really needs to get out and run more often. I can't wait to let him roam the grass in the garden at the new home!

See the resemblance?

I have one more cute critter to show you. On our way home one day, Jesper and I found this beautiful bird. We think it is a Citronsisken, as it is called in Danish, and if we're right it's a pretty rare sight! It looked sick, sitting on the ground not moving when we got close. It sat in the middle of the road so I was really worried it'd get run over if we just left it there. I sent Jesper home after a box so we could take it to the vet. I stayed close to it, about ½ a metre or so, and it didn't move an inch. When Jesper came back and tried to gently lift it into the box, the little guy flew away. Aww. I really hope he makes it! Something has to be wrong considering how he just sat there :(

Citronsisken / Sorry about the quality, I had to use my cell.
That's all for today.

# Prints; how I love thee

Dear H&M;

When you make one gorgeous print after another, how am I supposed to be on a no-buy?

Naturally, my response when I went on (one of many) window shopping sprees in January, was something like this;

Here's a few snaps of gorgeous prints I ended up taking home with me. First up is a cardigan - already a staple in my daily outfits. Bunnies and a lot of them, how could it be more win?

If it wasn't enough bunny to spice up my wardrobe, I found a dress with this gorgeous print too!

With a pink bunny thrown in here and there, it was just too cute to pass up. In fact, H&M is uing this print for a lot of items - I've fallen head over heels with a peter pan collared tee in maroon with this print. And a formal shirt. And a tee-dress with sleeves. And.... (Am I bad for wanting everything?)

Next up is a dress I bought mainly because of two reasons; price and fit. It is super flattering on me, and it was on sale for a ridiculously low price, so I decided that even though the print is a little too.. 80's? for my liking, I still needed it.

Besides these pieces, I've bought a beautiful blue cardi with stars on it, two dresses with cats, a dress with keys all over, one with cherries, one with flowers and... The list goes on. I really should respect my dying account when it says no! But where's the fun in that? My wardrobe just got 20% cooler.

'till next time;

# February wishlist

I've spent an insane amount of money on clothes in January. More specifically dresses. I've found so many gorgeous prints, cute cuts and frills that my wallet is suffering severely. I will have to stop shopping for a while to make up for it. I still feel like my closet is in dire need of a few basics, so I've tried to come up with a sparse list of things to look for in February.

Instead of hovering over the purchase button nonstop, saving links and be tempted to buy ahead of time, I decided to do a wishlist image - what better way to try and draw out that block I've had since Christmas? It's sketchy, quick colouring but it's sufficient I'd say :)

Wishlist # February
Tanks
I need a few basic tanks to wear under dresses. I'd love to find one in goldenrod (curry) and one in dusty blue, they'd match quite a few outfits of mine. Pretty sure I can at least find one of them in H&M!

Bag
I also found a cute yellow bag on Ebay that I think would be awesome for Spring. I really need some flashy colours to spice up my otherwise dark outfits!

Cardigan
Third, I've realised just how amazing a burgundy cardigan is. It's very easy to match to other colours, I love it together with yellow and blue. Going to try H&M, hoping to find one on sale :)

Jewellery
I'm also looking for a necklace with a blue base in a gold setting - I haven't found it yet, but it's something I've wanted to look into. I'm going to make a goldenrod ring with nail polish when I decide on the effect to be used - I'll elaborate more when I show it on here.

Belt
I'd also like a navy waist belt. Navy is kind of my colour, it's very flattering but not quite as harsh as black.

Dress
Lastly, I've fallen head over heels with this floral dress. It's creamy and features vintage looking flowers... Not usually my style, but it feels so right for Spring. It's not exactly a basic item or something I can't live without, but I'm really lusting after it. Know the feeling?

~ Jette

. introduction .

Hi and welcome to my blog.

New blog you say?
I'm Jette, also known as vettelicious. While I'm already running a nail blog, I decided to make another more personal blog - a place for my ramblings, crafts, outfits, shoplogs, makeup and most importantly; personal growth. I want to be able to look back and see how I've grown a few years from now- a lot of things is happening at the moment and I would like to be able to look back and see my progress.

About me
Living in cold and cloudy Denmark in a small village with my boyfriend of 5+ years. I love drawing and trying out all kinds of arts and crafts when the inspiration hits me. As previously mentioned, I have a nail blog. Nail art is another passion of mine, a way for me to be creative and combine it with my outfits. I'm a child at heart, collecting vintage toys and loving all things cute and vintage. Currently studying multimedia design, I don't have much money but I still love to shop and it does get out of control every once in a while. Some might see me as materialistic, I see myself as someone who enjoys the little thrills in life - like getting that dress you've been hovering over at half price!

I am currently trying to loose weight - having lost 10 kg since October 2011 I'd say I'm on my way. There's still a long way to go until I am satisfied with my BMI, but it's okay - all things to its time.

What's a Jumpersaurus?
I have a passion for cardigans, jumpers and dinosaurs! My closet is dominated by cute and comfortable cardigans, nerdy jumpers and sweet dresses. My daily outfit usually consists of a dress or tee + skirt, leggings and a cardigan. I haven't worn jeans in the past 3 years, and I'm loving it. The feminine feel of a dress is just much more comfortable, and to tell you the truth, I've always felt like a princess when I wear dresses ;) I'm a child at heart, I told you!
